Where we dig deeper into the word of God in the homes of families

The purpose of house fellowship ministry is to carry out Christ’s Great Commission of disciple-making (Matthew 28:18–20) through house groups and fellowships in developing the family ministry of the church.

The ministry of a house group or fellowship is fourfold:

  • Worship
  • Word
  • Fellowship
  • Outreach

To live out this vibrant and contagious life, a house group or fellowship must:

  • Gather regularly.
  • House Groups: Biweekly meetings at times agreed upon and committed to by

Group members

  1. Fellowships: weekly meetings (or regularly scheduled meetings in the case of mature adult fellowships)
  2. Include worship time: singing, sharing, and praying to God, involving all members, children, and adults alike
  3. Diligently study the Bible—led by spiritually growing and trained leaders, systematically study the Bible (by book or by theme) and apply the truth in daily living.
  4. Bond in deep fellowship and mutual pastoral care—build up trust and genuine care for one another, sharing joys and burdens, and extending this body’s life to members’ families.
  5. Encourage and support members in witnessing Christ and evangelistic outreach—as prayer partners and co-laborers in a Christian community.
  6. Actively participate in the total ministry of the church—encourage and support group members to fully participate in church life, be baptized, and grow as Christ’s disciples in the church, serving God with their time, talents, and material belongings.
